Played the demo for about an hour now, there is a huge difference in the way it plays compared with 12 - I know people say that every year (I don't), this year the tweaks have all culminated in a very realistic game, very challenging in the higher difficulties (world class and above).

And dare I say it, plays a little bit like PES did back in the day...

PES back in the day is quite an achievement. Its a shame that PES had such a demise in recent years. The market was always crying out for PES playability and FIFA menus and navigation etc.

Hopefully now FIFA are working towards achieving the goal. Had a mate text last night to say that 13 is exceptionally difficult. Looking forward to it landing on the doormat on 28th!

And they are.....

One formation 451, with a lack of creativity in the lightweight midfield, a wide midfielder who is playing some great football but is not a winger. A striker on the wing and a manager who has to look at dvd's to be able to analyse the performance.

Goalkeepers
Jake Cole – 62 → 62
Rene Gilmartin – 61 → 60/61
Ollie Chenoweth – 48 → 48

Defenders
Durrell Berry – 59 → 62
Curtis Nelson – 56 → 58
Maxime Blanchard – 64 → 64
Darren Purse – 65 → 65/66
Robbie Williams – 56 → 58
Onismor Bhasera – 61 → 61/62
Jamie Richards – 48 → 48
Jordan Pearce – 47 → 47

Midfielders
Conor Hourihane – 58 → 58
Jamie Lowry – 58 → 58/59
Luke Young – 58 → 61
Johnny Gorman – 63 → 61
Andres Gurrieri – 59 → 60
Paul Wotton – 61 → 61
Joe Lennox – 55 → 55
Jordan Copp – 50 → 50
Jed Harper-Penman – 44 → 44

Forwards
Alex MacDonald – 54 → 60
Matt Lecointe – 55 → 58
Warren Feeney – 58 → 59
Nick Chadwick – 58 → 60
Jared Sims – 49 → 54
Rhys Griffiths – 64 → 64
Paris Cowan-Hall – 58 → 58/59
Isaac Vassell – 48 → 48

Here we are. The ratings are the first value, before the arrow. The number after the arrow are for my own personal use. I think Madjo is still under Aldershot in the game, while EA still think Jordan Pearce is one of our players, but he's not.

I really like the demo, I mainly play FUT so the web app coming out has been the focus of my attention in recent days

Make sure you download the day one patch - I've made some changes to the initial release.

Macca' isn't what you say it he is, though.

Pearce is gone already, so not sure where you found that data ;-)

I'm not allowed to post them as per my NDA - however, soccerpilgrim has found some relatively close scores somewhere :)

I don't know the ratings then because that's on the official EA website. Of course they could be provisional ratings which haven't been updated, but I wanted to let everybody know that's the ratings I've read, and that it comes from a reliable source and not some Tom, Dick or Harry's fan blog.

FUT?

If so, very provisional - but indicative nonetheless :)

After connectivity issues with the PS£ over recent weeks I only managed to get the demo on Saturday night. Played a few games and have to say im impressed with the gameplay.

2 things identified in the two games i played:

1. your team mates make "sensible runs". Full back always overlapping if the winger cuts in field. The number of times i created a 2 on 1 was a vast improvement on the older version
2. the tackling elemt seems more fluid and more realistic. On F12, the opposition always seemed to come away with the ball, whether they tackled you or you tackled them. The could tackle you, get up and retrive the ball more quickly that you could turn around. However, this appears to have been ironed out.

Just had my email confirmation of the new one being dispatched. shame im on holiday for 3.5 weeks and wont be able to play it!!
