Correct.

Android users must be in heaven if thats all that Apple have got to muster with the latest edition.

Underwhelmed here also.

I predicted the phone would be called "iPhone 4G" and it would just be a tweaked 4S - which is what it is: Slightly stretched and updated hardware but offers nothing the 4S can't. So, calling it iPhone 5 is farcical IMO, as there's nothing new.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a brilliant phone and I would be more than happy if I owned one but it seems to me that Apple are going through the motions, doing the necessary updates but have missed out on other features - the most obvious being NFC

My iPhone 4 contract is coming to an end soon - I'm considering the iPhone 5 but if anyone's got any other recommendations they'd be more than welcome. I like iPhones because they're so easy to use, the apps are brilliant and it acts as my MP3 player as well, but if any of the Androids do the same job just as well for less money I'd probably go for one of them.

I understand the point about the bigger screen, more RAM and better processor. But to my mind, Apple are great innovators, deliver things which you dont expect or have been deemed impossible. This latest release delivers what is expected but nothing new and exciting im afraid.

A slightly bigger screen to add an extra row of apps shouldnt be enough to meet the expectations of the Apple crowd. Having always been ahead of the game, are they slowly falling back in with the crowd? Has mobile phone technology gone as far as it can? The urge to merely make everything smaller is no longer the case when the larger screen size has become a preference in the market.

I'm still on the iPhone 4 and agree its an immense piece of kit, however the two subsequent renditions just havent persuaded me to invest. £110 upfront plus an additional £20 a month isnt justified IMHO.

Chris,

Not sure if you actually want to change phones, but if you are content with the 4, you could do what i did - keep the phone and drop down to a SIM only contract (as soon as it expires) with your supplier. It knocked £20 off my monthly tarriff and i ended up getting more data usage etc to boot.

Should also say that my iPhone 4 is at death's door - the top lock button doesn't work at all and the home button is distinctly temperamental (needless to say it's now out of warranty and I didn't bother to insure it). So it's going to need replacing!

Fair do's - guess an iPhone where 2 of the 4 buttons don't work is kinda pointless!

They picked up Luton, and moved it just outside Exeter?! How innovative do you want them to be?!
