Most days - although generally late - after about 1030pm my PC freezes on the internet (BBand AOL) Once frozen the only way back is to shut down the internet and start again.

Earlier I was using (well trying to) ''This is Cornwall'' job search and once it had produced the results for me to scan the moment I tried to ''investigate'' a job (or sometimes after about 3 investigations) - bang - froze

Seems to be a lot worse on certain sites like:
''This is Cornwall''
PASOTI

but never on:
DGov job site
Santander
Faceache (sorry facebook)

I've no snags with AOL over the last 7 years but at present cannot really change ISP (if that would help) because the single phone line in to a single socket was put there about 1066 !!!!! My techie said if the line is poor from the bt connection then don't waste your money upgrading PC or changing ISP - it wouldn't really help.

Any ideas welcome

Thanks :scarf:

Might be worth trying a different browser? Firefox is pretty good.

I agree a change of browser might help. Many websites tend to be optimised for viewing on the most popular browsers and therefore work best with them. Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox account for about 90% of all browser usage so you'd probably best off with one of them. I personally use Chrome and have always found it easy to use, quick and reliable.
