Great news. He got far too much stick for not being up to speed when coming back from his injury last season.
I was fearing the Twitter page might build this one up... well done, there may have been a nasty backlash to them and Gary if they had given an excited 'Look who's back' clue and it wasn't Carey.
He was much improved last season both offensively and defensively, one of our most consistent players toward the run in.
Happy for him to be our first choice provided that we sign some competition as well.

Must confess to being one of the doubters when he came back and seemed well off the pace – but certainly improved and put in one of the best crosses of the season for Jake’s header against Pompey.
A steady eddy who will get skinned in this league. He doesn't really get forward enough either like a Purrington.
He is a better CB than LB because of his lack of pace. Weirdly with his good positional sense would make a good CDM like when we converted McHugh.
