Home form under DA

Luton 0-3
Grimsby 0-3
Barnet 0-2
Blackpool 0-3
Scunthorpe 0-4
Blackpool 1-3
Doncaster 0-3
Oxford 0-4

Thats 8 home games out of 32 in the last 2 seasons (25% of our games at HP!!!!!) :furious:

scored 1 conceded 25.

Out of the other 24 games (75%) we have won 14

Im sorry but even the DA supporters must see there is something wrong with his tactics at HP. I know there are red cards amongst these and that makes it even worse!!! :banghead:

Statistics can be made to say anything but this is quite startling. Too easy to beat at home

Means nothing to cherry pick results.

How many of those games came after sendings off (particularly this season) and to be fair 10 against 11 for a long period of time will nearly always result in the short staffed team getting tired later so how many tonkings were being kept down until the last few minutes.

Derek Adams is (in my opinion) not fit to run a league 1 side but donā€™t skew the evidence as it is too easy to shoot down. His most damning problem being that thereā€™s no entertainment in the squad and few really good attacking players. Something that doesnā€™t need reiterating now, itā€™s been like that all season.

Thats not cherry picking mate thats 8 home games where we scored nil (ok 1 in one case) and conceded 3 or more goals.
Sendings off mean diddly poo with those stats.

So you were cherry picking the results.

Whether the opponents score 1-2-3 or more is irrelevant and only measures how good their attacking players are. The stats show we have less possession, less shots therefore less shots on target than teams that come to Home Park (or anywhere else for that matter). This counter attacking football does not work with the players he recruited. We needed players that are quick of thought and deed to get the ball from back to front with urgency but he has not recruited players that can do this. A major failing of his added to the fact he has tunnel vision with regards certain players who are incapable of thinking a decent game let alone producing one on the pitch.

I assume Carey has a relegation release clause, so if we do go down we will lose our talismanic playmaker, which will make Div 4 all the more difficult to get out of (unless we find a replacement)

Argyle NIL FC 0 - xx Poor Away Team

DA says we dominated the game and didn't take our chances despite the stats showing we didn't have an attempt on goal

Its the same every home game, no need to attend really which is what will start to happen with dwindling crowds now as the football is dreadful and entertainment non existent

Skew the stats to suit your agenda. We had chances and were the better team between the penalty and when the second goal went in for them. Jervis had a chance than he should have buried, he also had a shot over the bar and Carey hit the post. They might not have been a shot on target, but they were chances nonetheless.

The stats show we had 8 attempts on goal with two of those on target. Not great but it shows you are wrong yet again.

Surely the stats show that Argyle 0-4 Oxford.

How much better could we have been?

It's all about tactics at home rather than statistics that do speak for themselves. The lack of home dominance is real.. There is no doubt a home game should be played knocking on the opponents door. I don't think I've ever seen us throw the kitchen sink at a defence for long periods at Home Park under Adams. The best period watching Argyle at this was David Smiths teams of the 80s where we'd often encamp in the opponents half. Two up front is a prerequisite for being able to do this. Away one up front works ok.. At home it hands the initiative on a plate to the away team and frustrates the home fans who go quiet instead of noisy and intimidating, another factor that helps the opposition team settle, with the main one being that they get plenty of the ball to grow in confidence . . It's dim. Nothing about it makes sense. But he does seem incredibly stubborn and intent over this being the way to success. Well? he needs a few statistical outliers on his argument's side and quickly to convince me or anybody that this is a good tactic..???

The same tiny minority, berate a tiny minority about their views, whilst that same tiny minority criticise a tiny minority elsewhere on the internet for berating a tiny minority.

It's not the views that annoy me. It's the sarcastic, I know best way in that the views are expressed.

Our first shot on target was in the 86th minute; it caused the ironic cheer and sporadic ā€œshot on targetā€ chants. The second was a few minutes later.
