Bored on holiday so found a list of footballer nicknames but they are all the obvious ones

So what are your favourite Argyle ones

I particularly liked Shelley for Paul connelly and Choppsy firBarlow but what were your favourites


Non Argyle I always liked one size fir Fitz hall and sniffer for Alan Clarke

Ah well back to the sunbed !!!

Guy by me years ago used to call Hourihane Captain Crab, as he only ever passed the ball sideways. A Palace fan I know always calls Jason Puncheon 'Judy', which is pretty funny.

We had a goalkeeper a few years ago (can't remember his name) nicknamed Dracula because he hated crosses.

Bugsy Malloy was memorable as well.

The famous Jack Chisholm was nicknamed 'Jumbo'. I should imagine his size across his rear came into the equation, and he was not fleet of foot.

Dave Corbett was called Sooty (at least around me in the Devonport End) at the time. Obviously named after Harry Corbett and his puppet (for the youngsters among us).

I quite liked Del Bhey, a Janner twist on an endearing character.

Centre half few years ago we called "hoof" cause that's what he did with the ball.. damn good centre half though
