This time as manager.

He can't be that expensive, knows the board, the club and most of the players.

Fletcher, unfortunately, is utterly out of his depth.

I was thinking more along the lines of SOS to JBs cheque book. sounds like we need extra troops.

Last season most fans were highly doubtful about what contribution John Deehan made to things. I think the general consensus was 'not much'. Now he's seen as being a saviour... :eh:

No Thank you. what the club needs is a proven lower league manager who can do things on a shoe string. whats steve cotterill doing since he was given the push at forest? He's always done reasonable well at clubs with no money...

I'm not going to jump on the change the manager bandwagon. I hate losing too but changing manager every five minutes is not the answer. Looking at the stats it seems that we created a lot of chances against Oxford. It also seems that we are playing a lot of the time on the ground and with some important players still missing. I have wanted us to play that way for years but have always been persuaded that results are more important. Now we have a manager who has the balls to try to introduce something different and I really want him to succeed. The alternative is to revert to humping the ball all over the pitch and chasing it. It was always going to take time and a lot of balls for it it fully gel but I'm right behind them. We really need some help on the field to make it work. Also I wish Fletcher would come out and explain what he is trying to do and that it's going to take time. Might just get a few people of his case for a while.

We would need to offload a few first, the squad is too big and the wage bill rising.

There can't be another mentor, it'll undermine Fletches management creditials.

It's him or a complete change.

Ming the M - it's also worth noting that we created a lot more chances than Aldershot in the first league game too.

I think that some people are being far too negative about the team.

Too Negative?!! Well, there's not much to be positive about at the moment, is there?

I think your right Doc. Negativity spreads like an infectious wave that people get caught up on. I have done myself at times but have always regretted it. I want the board to let Fletch get someone in to replace Griff and Lowry. We lack potency up front. Address that and things will look a bit different.

If we are looking to replace fletcher (which I think is knee jerk at this point) Sean Dyche would be a good shout. Worked wonders at Watford on a shoe string building from the ground up.

What credentials may these be then Tugboat? Please don't throw the 'he kept us up' line at me...

It's not a line, it's a fact. You cannot deny that under Fletch's management we survived last season. He achieved his main objective with all the odds against him and we are a football league club because of this fact.
