Typical post match defence of our strike force. The fact that people are actually trying to defend him is evident to his performance.

Something I would say, whilst Chadwicks pretty crap, he did at least take one of the chances presented, Feeney wouldn't have scored the same chance that Chadwick did tonight, although that says more about Feeney than it does Chadwick.

2 possible reasons for that, Chadders would have got in the way or Feeney missed it because he was sat on the bench ;)

This site is unbelievable at times. There is always one player that becomes the victim for no particularly valid reason. Last season it was Walton and now it seems it has become Chadwick. I personally thought he played pretty well tonight. Won a fair few headers in the air and often found Lecointe with some flick-ons. hough it will be interesting to see how he fairs on Saturday (if he plays) against what will be a set of much more experienced defenders. He should have taken his first chance in the second-half although didn't make any mistakes with the other. Played his part in the second goal as well.

Wouldn't be pasoti without a player to slate after every game regardless of his performance. I imagine Chadders crys himself to sleep after reading some of the clueless drivel written about him.

To be sold a pup the first time round was bad enough to to invite it back to play 5h1t on your new lawn is plain stupidity

They were probably somewhere supporting the team and players.

I just don't rate him. I agree some people go too far, and I wouldn't dream of insulting him personally or doubting his commitment to the club or his effort which is clearly there. I just don't think he's good enough.

Good finish for his goal last night. Too easily knocked off by defenders but still an experienced player. I back him to come good and play a part this season but not as the main striker for the club. Want him to do well though

He's a 5/10 player that on his best day goes upto 6/10.

It's a sign that we have struggled to strengthen the strike force.

I want to spoon out my eyes everytime I see him and feeney on the same team sheet.

I am not up for knocking players they are on the payroll andI don't think abusive comments are helpful. What I do find annoying is a post from someone who persists that Chadwick was not playing -'clearly they cannot recognise their own team members. An apology from Mr Evans would be appreciated.

Maybe what you should be asking yourself is 'were the evans twins actually there?'

When Chadwick is on song he is a man who can change the whole game, his 1st match against Northampton was amazing, but those bl--dy injuries...

Not neccesarily a case of how good he is but what he brings to the team. As a target man he does lead the line well.

People tend to forget that trigger was hardly a prolific goalscorer, but get all misty eyed when they recall the legend. Fortunately he had players around him who could put the ball in the net

Trigger was exceptional at holding the ball up and bringing others into the attack, also very good at knock downs. Chadwick doesn't seem to have either of those things in his repertoire. Many strikers don't but most of them make up for it by scoring on a semi regular basis.

I would be happier if Chadwick had more ball control. The ball seems to bounce off his shins and almost? every other part of his body .

He has the habit of missing easy chances to score when it would appear to be easier to score than miss.

I am sure, however ,that the commitment is there, but sadly that is not enough.

Chadwick and Evans have much the same goals to starts ratio.

I haven't seen much of Chadwick this time around, but IMO Trigger had the edge at winning the ball and holding it up to bring others into play.
