Ridiculous...

Stopped from running for Police Commissioner's job due to offence committed at 13 years of age

FFS it was so long ago the fine was in old money :mad:

Do we have no concept of rehabilitation in this country? I have no idea what sort of Police Commissioner Bob Ashford might have made but this is just stupid. He was thirteen.

The irony is the act that this daft rule appears in is called "The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011"

Odd really as the constables they have under their control are now allowed to be convicted criminals, albeit a limited number of catergories.
