Has anyone else noticed the footballing fraternity are covering their mouths when talking to each other on the pitch? I presume this is so that lip readers don't know what they're saying?

i imagine with the number of cameras on them the whole time, better to cover your mouth than be scrutinised on sky sports after the match of comments that people thought we said through lip reading.

As long as the stupid passing around of notes and tactics stops I'm happy with them covering their mouths!!

I've seen it in Spanish Football too. Managers, subs, staff all seem to do it. Even when warming up, some training and general chatting.

Complete opposite of tweeting, snapchatting, facebooking every other minute detaik of their lives !
