This article states:

It's worth noting that, in certain situations to help ease the transition into the revised arrangements, measures are in place that allow clubs to access the emergency loan market like they used to.

and:

Clubs are permitted to sign a goalkeeper on a seven-day ‘emergency loan’ basis if they do not have a senior goalkeeper that has made five first-team apps

Your link doesn't work so i don't know if Barnet falls into that scenario.

I notice Barnet have been allowed to sign an "emergency loan" goalkeeper

I thought these loans had been stopped now, which is why we have three keepers on our books. Anyone know the new rules?
Seven day emergency loans for goalkeepers work separately to normal emergency loans. Premier League clubs never had an emergency loan window, but clubs in the past have signed goalkeepers on emergency loans due to injuries.

Thanks for the clarifications.

So McCallum, it could be argued, is a bit of a luxury in the squad.

I feel sorry for McCallum. He travels to all away games and takes part in the pre-match warm-up home and away and has hardly saved a ball in anger for an Argyle team at any level all season. He's played just 14 minutes for the first team in the EFL joke Trophy.
