Chelsea Loss and Costa

On the day Chelski announced a loss of £70M last year it looks like another of their players are being tempted away by Chinese money. £30M a year offered for Costa who is now 'dropped'.

Could this be the start of meltdown where clubs are operating at such a massive loss and people are cancelling their Sky/BT subscriptions in their droves?

Could be the best thing to happen for British football for a long time?

The current TV deal with Sky and BT still has two and a half years to run. Negotiating the next one will be interesting if, as you say people are no longer subscribing.

Of course there is also the overseas income which shows no sign of diminishing. In November the Premier League signed a deal with China worth $700 million which starts in two years time.
