Football Manager interviews must be different to any I've ever been to:
'So what did you achieve in your previous job?'
(Smiles expectantly and leans forward hoping to prompt a full reply.)

Sheridan stares at floor and mumbles: 'Nothing we were sh*t, I got sacked'.

'Oh dear, however everyone has the occasional failure. What about your previous job?''

'Nothing we were sh*t, I got sacked'.

'Well I think we've heard enough, congratulations! You're hired!!'

For all his inter-personal skill failures, he does have a decent reputation as a firefighter. Perhaps he will continue to find work on short-term contracts at clubs in trouble

The guy has managed on and off for 16/17 years now. In that time, he's only really had one season with Chesterfield and this year with Notts County as having gone objectively bad, the latter of which a club no manager has had success with for some time.

He's earned this - he proved last season he's good enough for League 1, and in particular Oldham.

Get the feeling he's the sort of manager who does well when close to home at a club like Oldham or Chesterfield, but poorly when further away, his unwillingness to commit to clubs further away definitely hampers him as a manager.

Sheridan always used to use the emergency loan window to his advantage. He was one of the best at using it I'd say and I think his struggle this season may have been related to that.
