Weird club Liverpool, it seems they're fine with being bang average as long as they've got an overrated manager who smiles a lot and has a 'big personality'. They were better under Brendan Rodgers & he was hounded.

Interesting to see Liverpool had 64% possession in the 4-1 defeat against Spurs.

Perhaps possession stats only give an indication of domination if you know which area of the pitch the possession was in. Possession in your own half is of limited value.

Need a reliable centre half. Not a lot wrong apart from that. Only one goal conceded at Anfield this season. Conceded five to the possible champions and four to possible runners up. Great going forward, sort out the defence and they are a quality side. Also a good manager, better than any key board warrior anyway Cobi

Yes, Jurgen Klopp is a better manager than me, that's a good observation.

Problem is Liverpool have a reason they aren't contending every season.

Spurs tore them apart at times today. Forget the stats, it was a slick well-drilled side versus one half asleep.

Also Liverpool have conceded the most goals away in the PL this season. Their attack needs to be pretty good to pick up points in spite of that. And that's without Liverpool having a top scorer contender like Aguero, Kane, Lukaku, Morata or Lacazette.

Liverpool (and Arsenal) will never get back to where they used to be unless/until they bother to start trying to defend properly again.

They also need to spend the crazy amounts of money that the Manchester clubs do.

The £31m Man Utd spent on Lindelof isn't looking like money well spent....
