Lee Hodges is hoping that Argyle fans not travelling to Morecambe will consider going to watch Truro play AFC Totton in their 2nd qualifying round of the FA Cup at Treyew Road, which will give a financial boost to their players.

I'm not going to Morecambe and, as much as I feel for their players and fans, I'll be listening to Argyle on the radio.

Wasn't Truro v Totton the FA Vase final at Wembley once?

I feel really sorry for Hodges, but I can't feel sorry for TCFC.

Sums it up for me as well really. Any other club it would be different.

He and his piddling little club can take a flying one.

Facts !

Kevin Heaney has left Truro and is no longer part of the club.

Lee hodges gave sterling service to Argyle and deserves the fans support.

When Argyle were struggling to stay afloat most Truro fans were rooting for them to survive.
( No one wants to see a West Country side eliminated - there simply are not enough in the league / conference as it is ).

Truro players can not even afford to travel to train together - how bad is that ?

So, Get your a***s down to Treyew Road tomorrow if you possibly can - only £11 entry and help Truro survive - you already know the feeling to be in this position !!!!

Here's one for you:

Is it in Argyle's best interests for Truro to be succesful? Who do we want future generations of Cornish fans to support, us or Truro? I much preffered it when Truro were an innocuous, middling tier 8 outfit, not troubling the Blue Square.

I would say yes as the more clubs that do well in our region the better it is to bring up the standard of all the clubs bringing it up from the backwater it is now.

It would be in the best interest for Argyle to have truro at least in the conference premier, league 2 if Argyle ever rose to league 1 or championship and Truro would be a feeder club of sorts for Argyle to send loanees to for experience not far awayand maybe nab one or two of their best players.

A lot of people have short memories. A lot of fans from other clubs supported us when we were in the shite. We cannot afford to go to Morecambe but will support Lee Hodges. Don't forget we have loaned players to Truro to enable them to get first team experiences. Another reason is that Portsmouth and Port Vale are allowed to loan in players whilst Argyle and Truro aren't allowed when in administration. What's the difference? If it wasn't for the North Devon Greens and the Cornish supporters and relying only on the Plymouth supporters Home Park would be practicably empty.

Some of the comments from fans on this thread are disgusting, make me feel ashamed to say a fellow supporter.

There was at least six people who made themselves known to me at the game and there was possibly more at the match. Remember it's a nice feeling to help out an old friend no-matter how little.

Surely having a team be big in the region is better for the region....

If truro became hugely succesful ( IF).. would it not benefit the whole region? It can be beneficial to the whole area for a team to survive and prosper.Just think If Truro where in the premier league ..how much more interest in the south west there would be.... players might take note of the south west more often, leading to greater exposure of the region and its various football teams.
