Hmmmmmm....can't get into a struggling League 2 team who if they hadn't started the season so well, would've certainly been relegated on their form since around Christmas time. Not sure why we would be pitching our recruitment at these types of players.....

Of course he could get into their team. He played pretty much every game this season, and to pretty good reviews. Bentley says he is very reluctant to let him go. Molyneux may be asking for too much or have better offers on the table already. Morecombe may need to make cutbacks on last year's budget, given their increasingly perilous financial situation. Just because someone is released by a lower league team doesn't make them (a) unable to get into their team or (b) not good enough to play at that level, or even the level above. I don't think we should or will sign him, but that's not the point! :)

There are some very good individuals in poor teams in L2- Crewe have a few for example like George Cooper who can play at a higher level. I expect he's been released due to wage demands and budget constraints, not footballing reasons, as Bentley pretty much states.
