(How about) Bosman options from Championship

Just had a quick glance at some players released by clubs playing in the Championship next season.

3 in particular caught my eye

Defender. Lewin Nyatanga released by Barnsley after spending this season on loan to Northampton in L1. Was quite highly rated as a youngster and could be a good partner for Bradley. Got capped very early for Wales but his career faded. 34 caps for Wales, last of which was in 2011 but still only 28 years old. Adams could see potential in him.

Midfielder. Liam Trotter released by Bolton. This would be a quality signing, big physical presence in central midfield but also gets forward and scored a lot of goals in his Millwall days. Potentially a Carey replacement although a different type of attacking midfielder. Also still only 28 but feels like he's been around a long time.

Striker. Jermaine Beckford released by Preston. 33 years old now but knows where the goal is. Maybe not a typical Adams striker but while he's known more of a poacher he's not bad with back to goal and bringing the midfield into play.

No idea if any of them would move down South or fit in our wage structure but think all 3 would be very good additons.

Liam Trotter would be excellent at League 1 level for us. Could be a shout but could also be wage heavy.

Same goes with Nyatanga. Good player on his day.

Beckford not for me. Maybe a couple of seasons ago but then he would have been way out of our price range!

Derek will be a busy bee again this summer and most likely we will not know anything about it until the signature has been written on the contract!

Sheffield United have released both Marc McNulty, a Scottish striker with a record of 1 goal in 4 for them in League 1, and who looked decent for Portsmouth on loan in 2015/2016 (albeit in League 2), and Stefan Scougall, an attacking midfielder, also Scottish. Both not had much of a look in this season in a League 1 title winning side, but could fit the bill for our consolidation in the division next season.

Both ex Livingston so undoubtedly familiar to Adams..

I don't think Beckford would fit in, he's a bit older than Del likes his strikers, he would probably want first team wages and a first place so can't see that happening.

The other two look like typical Adams signings and both have the quality to improve the squad.

Both good players, Scoulgall could be a Carey replacement if required and McNulty the nippy fox in the box type we don't have.
