He has the raw ability to be a brilliant player he's too good for league 2 or 1 I think he could play top flight in france given the opportunity, I'd love him here but not going to happen.

If we have this so called 'competitive budget' I expect us to be looking at players such as Bolasie. If we don't even attempt to sign him than it just goes to show what complete tosh this 'competitive budget' really is. :sigh:

I think our budget would have to be a lot, lot bigger than it is to make signing Bolasie a possibility - as would any League 2 club's budget for that matter.

You expect us to be looking at a Championship youth player who is wanted by top-half Championship teams?

Jesus christ, I despair.

The only way a player would ever drop two leagues for us is if he was born and bred janner, face it our days of being a club in a position to secure talent is over for the moment.

Permanently may I hasten to add.

According to the Final Report from P&A Bolasie was sold for £20,000 with no mention of a sell-on clause.

We were desperate for cash at the time but over a year later receiving just £20,000 still doesn't seem right.

With Mason going for just £150,000 did we really have to use the services of Hart Sport to sell players at those prices? Ridsdale could have done the job.

So could ASDA

He's going up the leagues, not back down them.

Exactly. Looking to sign a championship player, under contract who has just won player of the year.

Behave Jake .............we are league 2 for the very reasons we should never be trying to sign players from the championship , we cant afford the wages .

There is no way a championship player will leave that league to come to league 2 unless out of contract and unable to get another club .

We have to shop in the lower leagues until which time will move up the football league ladder .......get used to it ...

We are in league 2 mainly because of paying over inflated wages , Mpenza , mcclean, walton to name but a few that we could ill afford .............we cant go down that route again

For the next 3 years we are going to have to be happy with players of conference standard coming in.
