Kim Hellberg was the name that I recalled from Sweden.

He has a club now but did really well at his last club and overachieved.

Hellberg is just starting out at my Swedish club, Hammarby. Did very well at Värnamo, a small club that he led to 5th.

Hammarby play in green and white so he'd be used to that bit, but there's no chance he moves now. He's at a bigger club, albeit in a smaller league. One to keep an eye on though, he's only 36.

quite apart from the fact I doubt he'd come to what he'd consider a 'small' club, Jesse Marsch shouldn't even make it onto a very preliminary shortlist. He was disastrous at Leeds, disastrous at RB Leipzig, and so apart from a successful 2 years at RB Salzburg (who won the league 5 times in a row before him and both seasons since) that leaves his only 'positive' managerial experience as MLS sides - a league that isn't just worse than the Championship, but has a radically different structure, transfer rules, fan demographics etc to ANY european league. So all that would transfer is matchday tactics. And we all saw at Leeds how totally incompatible his bizarre, ultra-narrow tactical setups were with English football.

That won't even be up for discussion. Unless he gets sacked for doing something then I feel nance will be here for life and I hope he is.
I agree with you but it may well restrict who we go for. Most managers / coaches want to bring their own assistants .

Are we looking for another compliant yes man?

It's a right mess isn't it really to think we have employeed all new coaches to back up Foster now he's gone. We have to find someone who will allow our coaches. It's a tad of a messy scenario.

I think the two newest members of staff are contracted to the end of the season though. With Nance, it was something that Simon Hallett has discussed raising with Ryan Lowe in the interview process, that he (SH) would prefer it if Nance was retained.

Apologies if I’ve missed it, but what do the advocates of appointing Scott Parker see in his managerial career to recommend him?

As far as I can see he’s never overachieved in terms of finishing position relative to playing budget and that would be crucial for an Argyle appointee. I don’t recall his sides being particularly easy on the eye either but I may be wrong on that.

I’m genuinely baffled that people are talking about him.
