Exactly, you’ve got it! Most of the same players who defied all the odds (and budgets) to storm the league with 101 points and made us the second highest scoring team at home prior to IF taking over.
Apart from Ennis Mayor Azaz and Cosgrove then? Just the four.

But and critically - Last season we were in league 1 . From that team we have lost Azaz, Cosgrove, Ennis , Butcher , Wilson, Mayor and Bolton.
And from the early part of this season Azaz , Cundle , KKH, Butcher etc . Due to all the circumstances of people leaving in January when they did there was I would suggest little time to replace outgoing players with ones of similar age and experience other than the injury prone Forshaw and the late addition of Sorinola who by all accounts Argyle were looking at for a while. It should therefore be no surprise that Foster turned to players he knew from England youth set ups or that those players are not yet as good as the ones they replaced.

Regardless of individual personnel, if you instruct players to go backwards and keep the ball, they will try to do this (IF). If you free them up and encourage them to go forwards, they will. Our natural enthusiasm and exuberance have been stifled out of the players and they look co

Confused and dejected. From WBA on we have been woeful at home, where we traditionally pick up our wins.

I noticed that Joe's prematch interview was not in the interview suite with Foster, but was a closed interview with the Argyle media team in a different room. Is that normal, because I dont think I've ever seen it? Usually the players answer questions from the press and then vacate the seat for Foster. Also, i watched Joe's whole interview hoping he would say something, anything really, that sounded supportive of the manager. Foster wasn't mentioned once. I hope im reading too much into these things.
Hopefully were reading too much into it- but I would be looking for senior players to back the manager at this time.

It's interesting that there was no comment- particularly as joe would appear to be one of the leading candidates to take over.

The zeitgeist around the club at this time isnt good.

Were coming to the point now where it's making it difficult for anybody taking over to turn things around- because of a lack of time.Is it already too late to make a beneficial change ?

Defeats against norwich and bristol city ( i pray that this doesnt happen) would leave fosters record at p14 pts 12.if that happened you would get the sense that we would be limping towards relegation and would return to league 1 with a decimated and thoroughly demotivated squad and with a man at the helm who seems short on the sort of leadership skills needed to motivate the players towards a quick return.

I'm certainly hoping for a quick change of luck over the next two games.but is this realistic ?

IF's zip on his training top wasn't quite done up as much as usual. Does that mean he's looking at the bottom of the table too much? Very concerning if so.
I'm glad you think the clear and obvious rift between our manager and senior players is amusing. I don't.

Hypothetical question to the Foster haters.....

If we won the next 8 games, would you want him here next season?

This is also quite possible (?)

See, I can do that as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Couldnt answer the question though could you?
This is because you are loathe to agree that its a possibility and that he shouldnt be here, its ok though, the vast majority are here to help you find the correct conclusion and help you see the thick fog in your eyes :)

Apart from Ennis Mayor Azaz and Cosgrove then? Just the four.
The solid backbone of last season's League-winning team :
- Cooper (out for most of this season),
- Scarr (rarely plays now), Wilson,
- Azaz, Matete, Mayor,
- Ennis and Cosgrove has been badly missed all season plus the roles played by Burton, Gillesphey, Longwijk, Butcher, Earley, Callum Wright , Tyreik Wright plus the loss of Grant, Bolton, Jephcott etc..

Last season, we had subs. who could come on and change games mainly thanks to having 4 strikers.
To repeat the obvious once again,
as Ennis and Cosgrove weren't replaced in July 2023 or in January 2024, we have suffered in attack (Whittaker, Hardie now seem mentally and physically drained) and in defence as Ennis, Cosgrove worked hard off the ball , defended corners, free kicks well against
big centre halves or forwards who've punished us this season from
set-pieces.

Foster has his faults but
The Recruitment Team are responsible for the above. Hopefully within a week or so, they can find a goal scoring
Free Agent striker now and a box-to-box midfielder Free Agent to replace Gyabi and add energy, speed to our midfield !

I didn’t have a problem with his comments until he said “The fans have enjoyed some wonderful results over recent seasons, perhaps that hasn’t been the same now that we’re in the Championship”. Before Foster arrived we’d beaten Huddersfield (by 2 goals), Blackburn (by 3 goals), Norwich (by 4 goals), Sheffield Wednesday (by 3 goals), Sunderland (by 2 goals), Stoke and Rotherham, we’d also drawn games against Middlesbrough, West Brom, Birmingham and Watford.

If they were trying to they would have 24 hours, as the registration deadline is tomorrow. They won't be trying to though.

That's one thing that keeps annoying me too. He's made reference to how we've had good times before when he wasn't here, but he always goes on to say how it was in a lower league and completely ignores anything this team achieved this season before his arrival.

When summing up the match against Wednesday on the radio, Chris Cooper summed it up nicely. “They had a right go when they were able to, when they were let off the leash. Let them off the leash early on!”

We seem to be so cautious and slow to keep the game tight but then go for it when it’s too late and we’ve handed the initiative to the opposition. We have still got it in us to be a good attacking side, but the tactics appear to rein that in.

It was in a lower league and every one of those winning performances that Cobi mentions are against teams that are below us now or were in dreadful form when we played them (Norwich and Sunderland if my memory serves me).
